This reproduction of the original acrylic and oil painting on paper features the National Aviary’s male Guam Kingfisher, a bird species extinct in the wild due to the accidental introduction of the Brown Tree Snake. This rare bird and its mate are part of a breeding program aimed at reintroducing this species into the wild.
