Commissions
Most paintings “hung” on this blog are like personal journal entries, illustrating stories of positive change close to my heart. These small artworks primarily provide fresh inventory for my readers/buyers, which then support and raise awareness for organizations facilitating the change.
But behind the curtains, bills are paid by commissioned artwork. Whether related to “painting activism” or not, I’m in front of an easel nearly everyday creating artwork for private clients. The breadth of projects I work on is broad and continues to surprise me. I’ve climbed on scaffolding to create murals, rendered homes not yet built, sat in a courtroom sketching witnesses, and much more.
I’ve painted children, houses, business executives, pets, and favorite places. My paintings have been a perfect fit for anniversaries, birthdays, holidays, weddings, housewarmings, retirements, and thank you’s. Businesses have depended on my renderings to get building plans approved and teachers have given me free reign to transform the walls of their school. The creative possibilities are endless and I always look forward to new challenges with each unique commission.

These commissions make ashleycecil.com possible. I would be thrilled to speak with you about a your own commission. Please email me at ashley.cecil@gmail.com with inquires. Your business keeps “painting activism” going strong.
